Yes, we've been on a chocolate and sweet-sweet-let-us-have-our-sweets kick lately, but who hasn't every once in a while? What would the world be without chocolate or candy or soft and supple, fudge-laden, slide-off-your-fork bites of cakey goodness? Not one we'd want to live in, we'd tell you, our pretties. So now that the temps outside have started dropping to levels conducive to ordering baked goodness without fears of smudged, melted messes of surrendered sweetness, we've taken charge and stocked up, sisters!

There is no shame in chocolate. Ever. Period. But if you must -- if you must -- balance your crazed cocoa cravings with selfless spiritedness, we think we found a fave for you. Although there are a number of sweetlets that would sate our saber-size sweet-tooth, we love the New York-based bakery Bake Me a Wish!, which not only makes chocolovely delights, but also donates a portion of all proceeds to charities like the Make a Wish Foundation or Soldiers' Angels (an organization that sends birthday cakes to soldiers stationed overseas). Now isn't that sweet prettiment for all?

We culled a sample of their cakes below, although -- if we were held hostage and had to choose -- our favorite is the chocolate mousse torte pictured above, which, yes, we are eating right this moment! You can order them for others -- or for yourself. Yum! Bake Me a Wish! also usually has good promotions, like their current one that gives 10% off for ordering two or more cakes (at least at the time we typed this post).
