Merry Momiji for the Holidays

The gift-giving season is already heavily upon us, and for some finding spirited frou-frous for a nearly unlimited list of what-do-I-get who-whos can be enough to put anyone in a Grinch pinch. If you're looking for that little extra gift that simply needs to be just that -- little and extra -- we found meaningful, cute dolls fit for well-wishing.

Modeled after traditional Japanese kokeshi dolls -- which are tokens of love and good fortune thought to ward off evil spirits -- collectible Momiji friendship dolls make delightful little gifts for hostesses and friends, especially during the holidays. You can choose a perfect match for your recipient from the many designs, each with its own personality and message, like "Your soul is a good one, I know when it shines in your eyes." or "The memories of us brings me giggles!" You also can write your own secret message and slip it inside the doll.

Every Momiji comes with a heart sticker, collector's card and a small postcard in a ribbon-tied bag. They cost about $10.95, while traditional kokeshi run $65 and up. Our favorite Momiji is Cherries (the one on the left in the picture above). We love the hint of sass.
